Dr. Bacal joined Eye Physicians and Surgeons, P.C. in July of 1997 as the group's Pediatric Ophthalmologist. In 1999 he was appointed a Clinical Instructor of Ophthalmology in the Yale-New Haven School of Medicine Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences. In 2006 he was promoted to Assistant Clinical Professor in the same department. He is a Board Certified member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology since 1997 and a Fellow of the Academy since 1998. He is also a member of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus. In 1997, Dr. Bacal completed a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology & Adult Strabismus at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Scheie Eye Institute of the University of Pennsylvania.
